The article was suspended due to proximity to the events of 9-11 - every time something strange happened in the aviation world, the sim center was called by the press for information and so on. They felt that the world was not a great place to publish an article about two lunkheads off the street doing pilot training. They said they liked the article and wished it could be published as it made them look really good, but c'est la vie. It's been long enough and no names are mentioned, so I've posted it here.

I do wish I could put the right names in as the center was excellent to deal with and our instructor was awesome. He had a lot of fun doing it with us and really helped make our time so much fun.

Interesting story, thanks for posting. I'm curious exactly what "issues" made the centre want to suspend the article? I guess maybe they didn't want to be associated with providing airliner training to "random" people outside of the airline system. But as your story demonstrates, it looks like Carlo's skills at handling the 737 were pretty good just from PC simming and lots of study.
